Why should I buy your coffee?

Where do your beans come from?
All over the world. You’ll find the origins conveniently listed on the bags.
Is your coffee chemically decaffeinated?
Good for you knowing the difference, and the answer is no! The only decaf beans we use go through the swiss-water process to naturally decaffeinate the beans. Sleep easy!
Is Thrasher Coffee expensive?

Will you grind my coffee for me?
We’d be happy to! We offer coarse, medium and fine grinds. We can even specialty grind for anything you need! Just shoot us a message and we’ll be happy to grind for percolator, turkish, you name it!
What brewing methods work well with Thrasher’s coffee?
Generally, the Pour-Over method is held in the highest regard, and is a bit more involved. French Press is an excellent option and will provide much more flavor over a drip…plus you get one of those for free on your first subscription order! Thrasher Coffee will taste great in any device, part of the joy of coffee is crafting your cup. Experiment and find what hits the spot for you!
Our Coffee Plans
Why should I get a coffee plan?
Getting a plan takes the hassle out of remembering to purchase coffee, and you’ll never have to face the trauma of running out.
It’s the best value (more bean for your buck) and shipping is free.
How does the plan work?
You start HERE, choosing which coffees you want in your shipments. Follow the simple ordering process to the end and you’re all set. We’ll roast your fresh beans to order and ship them out the very next day. You’ll be billed each time your plan cycles, which will either be two weeks or one month from the date you subscribed to a plan.
Can I change my coffee plan?
Yes, any time you want. Your account area allows easy changes to quantities, grinds, frequency and coffees.
Can I cancel my plan?
You may cancel at any time. But we sure would hate to see you go, so be sure to let us know if there’s something we could do to improve your experience with us.
When will I get my order?
We don’t roast our beans until you order to ensure you’re getting the maximum freshness each and every time. Our goal is to ship out the same day as roasting, but sometimes it may be the next. Depending on where you live, it may take a day two to four days to receive your order. No matter where you live, you’ll receive your fresh Thrasher Coffee within 5 days of roasting.
Why do my bags of coffee look like they’re full of air?
This is completely normal. We don’t add nitrogen to our bags, so as they are being shipped to you, the beans will be releasing carbon dioxide in what is called the “degassing” process. This is what freshly roasted beans do and our bags are designed to keep outside air out, so the only place for the C02 to go is … nowhere. This means that as soon as you get your coffee bags out of the box, you’ll need to release the C02. You can do this by simply opening the bag, or by using our recommended method of gently pressing the bag and forcing the C02 out through the bag’s air valve. You’ll experience a huge blast of delish fresh coffee aroma. Enjoy!
Payments & Shipping
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Credit/Debit cards through Stripe, our secure payment processing system. At this time, we’re not outfitted to accept checks, except through our wholesale program (10+ pounds at a time).
How, when, and where do you ship?
Shipping is a flat rate of $5, no matter the quantity, and most orders are shipped via UPS or USPS. Tracking is made available on all orders, so you can monitor your box as it travels from our door to yours.
We get your coffee shipped out within a day of roasting. You can expect it to land on your doorstep within 2-4 days for the Continental United States.
Currently we ship coffee to the continental United States. More countries are on the way as we figure out logistics for shipping abroad.
Can you tell me more about shipping?
We ship via Federal Express, UPS, USPS, and other premium carriers to provide expedited service.
At times and due to circumstances outside of our control, the following issues with orders may result in delayed shipping:
- Incorrect shipping address
- Shipping address does not match billing address
- Payment delay or issue
- Orders held because they contain a large quantity of a single item that would cause inventory depletion (note: this is an infrequent circumstance)
- Carrier failure to deliver (e.g. severe weather conditions)
Under any and all circumstances, we believe the job isn’t done ‘til the package is delivered to you. We work extra-hard to make sure you get our top-quality beans in a timely manner
Health & Environment
Are your coffees organic, fair trade, bird friendly…?
In our opinion, all of the larger certification programs have flaws and limitations in what they represent about the product and what value they actually bring to the consumer.
Broadly, we believe a better approach for true and durable sustainability is to build the consumer market around exceptionally high quality coffees, sourced from producers who are putting the most work into the long-term benefits of their crops and communities, irrespective of expensive third-party certifications (such as “Organic,” “Fair Trade,” etc.).
